We followed a link posted by a friend "datruk" where he was sharing geocaches he had found.
Had a look at www.geocaching.com and found we were surrounded by these little treasures, and decided to join the hunt.
GeoJack, GeoNat and myself (GeoSuzi of course) make up our main team, sometimes joined by geoMic and geoWill.
Our first adventure was local, and spots we knew well... found one, very cool - Wendy's Earth Cache
Couldn't find the Banjo Paterson one :( but it was dark, and trying to be discrete was difficult.
Went back later in the week after school and found it straight away :)
Saturday we wandered through Hawthorn trying to remember the location of one... but no luck
Saturday afternoon 22/8/09 we went hunting again.
Found Michael One easily :)
WE need to get a better GPS, although my phone has one we can't get specific points needed for some of the trickier ones...
tried another yesterday afternoon, but there was so much dead undergrowth it was nearly impossible to pinpoint, and this morning tried the Shrek's Swamp one, but the recent rains have made it a bit inaccessible.
Great walks though :)
